The Life Change Experiment

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you gave everything you owned away to needy strangers, stepped out of your comfort zone and went looking for what really mattered in life?

Now we are setting out on The Life Change Experiment. Putting the universal concepts of flow and provision to the test. We have no idea what will come of this, where we will go or what we will do when we get there. We simply have in the back of our mind, that we want to break out of our old rut and experience more from life.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT HAVING LESS renouncing materialism or becoming monks – Quite the opposite. We gave away all our old possessions (energy) to make room for new, fresh vibrant opportunities.

SHAKING THINGS UP

It all started two months ago from a deep and persistent desire we both shared to grow and experience more from our life.
As much as we appreciated the successes we had in our comfortable inner city lifestyle, we both shared a gnawing feeling that life was passing us by. We had more to offer and more to learn and sitting at home, fearful of change as we had been for so many years, was not going to help us discover what that was.

The old saying “keep doing what you’ve been doing and you will keep getting what you’ve got” rang clear one day when I recalled a story of ancient invading armies who burnt their ships to keep the troops focused with no thoughts of retreat.

So we decided to do the same. Leave no room for retreat. Give away our Mercedes, the entire content of our house, scooters, computers, cameras, designer clothing our successful businesses and social set lifestyle and step forward, unfettered into the unknown!

THE JOURNEY UNFOLD

Finally with the giveaway over we can set off on what, after all, the whole life change experiment has really been about for us. A fresh perspective.

It has been a long time dream of mine to seek out and talk with inspiring, enlightened, interesting people, who have made REAL changes and REAL differences in their world.

I want to know how they got the courage. What choices they made? How they overcame their challenges. What tools they developed and how these have helped them in their everyday life.

I want to know the secrets to what makes someone wake up in the morning with a spring in their step and do what they love regardless of what others say or the hurdles they face.

I want to learn the essence of purpose and true happiness, and I want to pass on what we learn and experience to anyone who has a heart to listen .

I’m also after unsung hero’s and those causes that so desperately need our support but don’t have the resources to let people know the good work they are doing or the assistance they need.

Finally with the help of some kind sponsors we are hoping to make a difference in some lives along the way and meet as many of you as possible.

This Experiment is NOT about us at all – We are just the conduit, The grunt in the field, the guinie pigs if you like, reporting back to the Life Change Community, using the skills we have acquired in our businesses to help highlight worthy causes and hopefully putting a few smile on face in the process.(including our own)
